Insiders Paint a Very Different Picture of Liam, Partying and Lashing Out

Hours after actor Liam Hemsworth and singer Miley Cyrus announced their split over the weekend, she was spotted making out with another woman. Now, it’s been revealed that Hemsworth is “really sad” about the breakup and that he’s leaning on his own family for support.

Hemsworth Is ‘Really Sad’

“Liam is really sad about the breakup,” a source told US Magazine. “His family has been taking care of him, and he’s been leaning on Chris throughout his trip to Australia.”

Sources close to Cyrus say that she has been taking the split hard as well and that her rendezvous with Kaitlynn Carter in Italy over the weekend is a sign that she’s seriously hurting.

“She’s genuinely trying to have fun and put on a good face,” another source said, according to People Magazine. “Yes, she’s trying to push Liam’s buttons whether she’ll admit it or not, but she’s hurt.”

Hemsworth Is Wilder Than People Think

This source also said that while Cyrus, 26, is typically thought of as the wild one, 29-year-old Hemsworth likes to party hard as well.

“Everyone always thinks Miley is problematic and immature and a hardcore partier while he’s this chill surfer dude, but that’s actually [not accurate],” the friend of the couple said. “Liam parties with his friends, and Miley thinks he should’ve grown out of that by now.”

Another source said that Hemsworth’s personality is way more complicated than the “super easygoing” public image he presents to the world and that the actor can get “moody.”

“She’s been supportive of him when things get dark, but it’s tough,” says the source. “That’s something that has weighed on Miley and their relationship. He can also lash out at her, and he hates the attention their ups and downs bring.”

Cyrus ‘Really Fought To Make’ Marriage Work

A different insider claimed that Cyrus had “really fought to make” the marriage work.

“She wanted to go to therapy,” said the source. “She just wants to be in a healthy and focused place.”

“He loves that she has her own career and focus, but he also wants a wife who cooks and would stay home with the kids,” said a friend of Cyrus.

Hemsworth and Cyrus met back in 2009 on the set of the movie The Last Song, and they had been together on and off ever since then. They finally tied the knot in December of last year, and their split has come just eight months later. It sounds like their marriage was very complicated, so splitting up might be the best thing for both of them right now.
