WWE Knew Kanellis's Wanted Another Baby

– The WWE Universe is still reeling from the news around Maria Kanellis’ pregnancy, which was announced via a storyline on this week’s Monday Night RAW. While many speculated that it was simply part of WWE programming, Maria herself recently confirmed that she was indeed expecting the couple’s second child, via social media.

There has been much speculation around whether or not there is any backstage heat for the couple, due to this pregnancy, as they seemed to announce this just after they both signed some pretty lucrative new 5-year contracts with the company; however, according to Wrestling Inc., the two inked these deals in early June, and learnt of their pending pregnancy about a week and bit ago.

Meanwhile, according to the above report, the company was fully aware that the couple wanted another baby when the new contracts were offered to them. WWE is working hard to make their work environment one that is more accommodating to moms that are employed with the company, which includes offering rooms for younger kids during their Big Four PPVs, and providing families with scheduled time off for any events they may need.

Additionally, Maria hopped on Twitter recently to let fans know that as long as her doctor’s are okay with it, she plans on working during her pregnancy, and has plans to return to the company after having the newest addition to her family (getting cleared first by doctors, of course).

– Could “Stone Cold” Steve Austin be making a WWE return? As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it just could happen in the coming weeks, as it would make a ton of sense for both Austin, the USA Network, and WWE. Nothing has been confirmed; however, Steve has an interview show debuting on the network this fall, and may need to promote through WWE.

It would be a win-win for all involved: WWE could gain some ratings from a “Stone Cold” appearance; Steve Austin could promote his show; and with both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown LIVE currently airing on USA, it would be an amazing fit for all. Plus, the fans would benefit as well.
