We Almost Had a Double-KO in the Octagon
Sometimes on throwaway UFC cards, the best thing you can hope for is a brief flash of uncommon and noteworthy violence to make the night interesting.
The undercard for UFC 240 last night was pretty forgettable, with decisions galore among fighters you’d be hard-pressed to care about unless you were related to them. But there was a moment when some magic almost happened… the most special kind of magic of all…
…The near-mythical double-knockout!
Geoff Neal and Nike Price beat the stuffing out of each other, with Neal eventually getting the TKO after ground-and-pounding his foe into oblivion. But there was a sequence on the feet when they threw leather simultaneously, landing simultaneously, and lost their legs simultaneously.

It’s a shame they both weren’t knocked out, as that would’ve been noteworthy and for sure given them a decent 15 minutes of fame. Oh well. Maybe next time. I guess they’ll just have to be happy with shaving years off each other’s life.
