Recently Tito Ortiz turned heads throughout MMA by claiming he thinks he could beat Jon Jones, and by outlining why he matches up better against “Bones” than Daniel Cormier. But since then, the former UFC champ has issued an apology.
Ortiz made the comments while speaking on the Domenick Nati Show. In his apology, Ortiz states he was asked about whether he could defeat Jones in his “prime”. But, in the interview, Nati specifically asked him about whether he believed he could do so today. Either way, the apology is a classy move.
