There Were Some Cool Moments on Dana White’s Contender Series
Usually these Contender Series shows have fighters hugging and huffing and puffing to a decision, but last night they were murdering each other.
As peripheral content goes, Dana White’s Contender Series ranks up there just higher than seasons of TUF you’ll never watch but right below reading the box of a Devour Pizza shaped like an Octagon. But!
But last night’s installment had a couple noteworthy moments! The first of which was a dude named Aolon Cruz scoring a flying knee KO in the third round that had White telling him from cageside that he’d just earned a UFC contract.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! 😱 #DWCS@danawhite signed @AalonCruz to the UFC on the spot after this KO pic.twitter.com/xLdgaMHPBK

It was a pretty damn cool knockout.
Then came yet another flying knee, although this one didn’t kill a dude like Cruz’s did.
NO. WAY. Another flying knee?! #DWCS@Aleksa_Camur follows up with a highlight of his own pic.twitter.com/ynKq1dRNUr

Aleksa Camur got landed that second flying knee (I think he’s Stipe Miocic’s valet or something), and he too got a UFC contract.
Good times. Good times.
