After it was revealed John Lineker had been released by the UFC, many folks predicted that “Hands of Stone” wouldn’t have any difficulties finding work. Well, it looks like that’s indeed the case.

Just last week it was confirmed Lineker had been cut by the UFC, after he withdrew from UFC Greenville on short notice, due to a reported facial cut he incurred. The heavy handed fighter had been booked to fight Rob Font at the card, after Lineker publicly called on the UFC to give him a fight or release him.

Well, due to Lineker’s accomplishments and abilities, most folks understood he would get signed shortly. More recently, the Brazilian fighter announced that he’s signed with ONE Championship.

So, this seems like a good fit for Lineker, as ONE has clearly committed to promoting both the flyweight and bantamweight divisions.

The 29-year-old Lineker is coming off a split decision loss to Cory Sandhagen in April, and carries a record of 31-9.
