Desmond Green finds himself currently in jail facing almost two dozen charges from a 2018 accident that resulted in the deaths of two people.
Green, a member of the UFC’s lightweight division, fought this past May and scored a victory. Back in August 2018, the fighter lost control of his vehicle, starting a crash that involved many cars.
Emelina Morfa and Emma Suarez Hernandez both died from injuries sustained in the accident. Green faces 20 charges including driving under the influence and possession of cocaine and marijuana.
The 29-year-old is 4-3 over seven fights inside the Octagon. His last defeat came roughly a month after the accident when he traveled to Russia and lost via decision.
