Henry Cejudo has been sparking conversations, and some cringes, with his pre and post-fight antics, and recently Tyron Woodley called on the champ-champ to stop…

As you likely know, Cejudo puzzled many in the MMA world prior to his bout with Marlon Moraes, by showing up for media day wearing a crown, a robe, and then by pulling out a Mighty Mouse toy, a rubber snake and a fake rabbit out of a hat…Cejudo explained why he did so, but, some of the other things he’s done since winning the 135 title, like having his coach Eric Albarracin stand behind him posing with both belts, has prompted mix reactions.

Well, Woodley had a few things to say about the decorated wrestler, during his most recent appearance on TMZ (quotes via MMA News).

“He is a phenomenal fighter. It’s amazing that he’s been able to win an Olympic gold medal, which is more important to me than a UFC belt, because it’s the hardest thing that you can do in combat sports,” Woodley said. “He beat Demetrious Johnson, a pound for pound legend, won a belt in two divisions. So what I’m saying is that his resume is crazy in a very short period of time. But when you start doing that extra stuff, oof, just stop.”

“Hey, man, you a beast. Keep killing it. Keep it up in the Octagon,” Woodley added. “Tone down the extraness by like 10. Take it down 10, and you set.”

Now, Woodley certainly isn’t the only person to express views like this. But, to be fair, there’s no question that Cejudo’s been in the headlines a lot, and not just because he’s both the flyweight and bantamweight champ. In other words, there’s no question that his antics have extended his news cycle right?

It will be interesting to see, however, whether Cejudo keeps this up rolling into his next fight. As of right now, it’s still not clear when and who the Olympic Gold Medal wrestler will face next.
