Recently it was reported that Leon Edwards and Rafael dos Anjos are going to throw down on July 20th, and the latter confirmed the contest in pretty, pretty interesting fashion.
Yahoo Sport’s David Iole recently relayed that RDA and Edwards have agreed to battle at the UFC’s upcoming card in San Antonio. The news came not long after Edwards claimed that RDA had turned down the opportunity to fight him in August, and after he took a verbal shot at dos Anjos and other top welterweights.
Well, as you can see by the tweet below, RDA definitely took notice of Edwards initial tweet.

Tweets aside, this is a very interesting and compelling fight. Edwards has been rising up the welterweight ranks thanks to a seven fight winning streak. RDA, meanwhile, demonstrated last month that his days as a top 170’er are far from over, by submitting Kevin Lee.
