Lars Sullivan Injury Update

– Earlier this year, Lars Sullivan was seemingly set up for a very large push in the WWE; however, sadly, he hasn’t had the best of luck during his main roster tenure. Reports initially surfaced in early 2019, stating he had an anxiety attack that delayed his official debut on Monday Night RAW. When he was finally set for his officially callup after Wrestlemania, controversial comments he made years ago (before signing with the WWE) popped from a bodybuilding message board he was a part of, and the company fined him $100,000. The superstar also received some negative backlash from fans as such.

More recently, Sullivan was taken out of action due to a knee injury, and now, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it may be more serious than anticipated. As per the report, The Freak had an MRI done this week, where it is believed that he’ll be out of action for about six to nine months, with a return date scheduled in and around the end of this year, to early 2020.

– Speaking of MIA, while the Bulgarian Brute participated in WWE’s Super Show Down Saudi Arabia event, he hasn’t been seen or profiled much on SmackDown LIVE television.

He took the opportunity to take on dig on Shane McMahon’s push recently via Twitter, but no real reason has been listed as to why fans haven’t really seen him on the Blue brand as of late.

Having said that, Rusev has recently changed his Twitter handle, and there are no WWE references attached to it. He even eluded to a fan comment on the social media platform that he wasn’t a WWE employee, but this could mean that he is contracted under the company, as all superstars are. Rusev loves to troll on Twitter, so this could be a case where he is simply teasing fans for some hype. See below:

Meanwhile, a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter details that Rusev has requested some time off from touring. While he is expected to re-appear “shortly”, no date was offered, and no additional information was provided.

Here’s hoping we see Rusev on television soon, and that WWE Creative can think of a solid storyline for him. He’s been highly successful in the past, and is a very interesting and entertaining superstar within the company. Time to celebreate #RusevDay once again in the WWE!
