Damning Jussie Smollett Footage Released That Could Bring More Charges!

Chicago police released almost 70 hours of video footage as well as hundreds of files related to the Jussie Smollett case on Monday, days after a judge made a ruling that could result in the “Empire” star being charged again for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself.

Fox News reported that one of the videos shows Smollett, whose face is blurred, wearing a white rope that he claimed to police was placed around his neck by his attackers. When one of the officers asked Smollett if he wanted to take the rope off, the actor replied, “Yeah. I do. I just wanted you all to see it.”

“There’s bleach on me, they poured bleach on me,” Smollett added.

When officers informed Smollett that they were recording the visit he said, “I don’t want to be filmed.” The officers then immediately turned their body cameras off.

This comes days after a special prosecutor was called to investigate the controversial decision by Cook County to drop all charges against Smollett after he was charged for fabricating this hate crime against himself. Chicago police believe that Smollett paid two brothers to assault him while shouting racial and homophobic slurs so that he could secure a raise on his television show. Smollett also allegedly had them say “this is MAGA country” in an attempt to vilify supporters of Donald Trump.

Judge Slams Chicago Prosecutor Kim Foxx

In making his decision, Judge Michael Toomin blasted Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s, slamming the way she handled the case and the “unprecedented irregularities” in it. He also said that the public’s faith had to be restored in the justice system.

“If reasonable grounds exist to further prosecute Smollett, in the interest of justice the special prosecutor may take such action,” Toomin said, according to Daily Mail. “The unprecedented irregularities identified in this case warrants the appointment of independent counsel to restore the public’s confidence in the integrity of our criminal justice system. There was no master on the bridge to guide the ship as it floundered through unchartered waters. And it ultimately lost its bearings.”

Millions of Americans feel that Smollett should be in prison for attempting to exploit the racial and political divisions in this country for his own gain. We can only hope that this decision results in Smollett getting the prison time that he deserves.
