A pair of former UFC champions will return to the cage this August for ONE Championship at Dawn of Heroes.
Eddie Alvarez is set to tangle with Eduard Folayang in the co-main event on August 2 from Manila, Philippines, with Demetrious Johnson meeting Tatsumitsu Wada in the semifinals of the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix.
Back in March, Alvarez made his promotional debut and was flattened by Timofey Nastyukhin. Now, the former UFC and Bellator lightweight titleholder gets to test his skills against a former ONE champion in Folayang.
Johnson advanced to the final four that same month when he bested Yuya Wakamatsu in the quarterfinals. The winner between Johnson, a former UFC flyweight champion and bantamweight title contender, and Wada meets the winner of Danny Kingad vs. Kairat Akhmetov in the finals.
