Combate Americas Headed For Odessa, Texas This July

TS-1 Promotions announced that it will bring the Combate Americas television series to Odessa, Texas for the first time ever with a stacked lineup of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) bouts at Ector County Coliseum on Friday, July 12, live on television in Spanish in the U.S. on both Univision (12 a.m. ET/PT) and UDN (12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT), and in English in the U.S. and Canada on DAZN (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT).

Priced from $15, tickets for TS-1 Promotions’ Combate Americas live television event at Ector County Coliseum are on sale at ETix.com.

“We have an incredible fight card, highlighted by three matchups between fierce talent from Mexico and the U.S., and are ready to bring an amazing fight night to Odessa for the first time ever,” said TS-1 Promotions CEO, Greg Bloom.

The three main card bouts announced today will see competitors from Mexico face off with rivals from the U.S.

Headlining the show will be the first heavyweight main event in TS-1 Promotions and Combate Americas television series history between Oscar “Elevation” Cota (10-2) and Bubba “The Menace” McDaniel (30-10).

Ranked as high as number one in the heavyweight division in both Mexico and all of Latin America, Cota of Mexicali, B.C., Mexico is looking to rebound from a loss last November 24 that snapped his six-fight win streak.

A veteran of 40 fights, McDaniel of Wichita Falls, Texas is a submission expert with experience competing against rival, world-class competition on a number of big stages throughout the U.S. He is looking to extend a four-fight win streak.

In the lightweight (155 pounds) co-main event announced today, Jose Luis Verdugo (9-8) of Tijuana, B.C. Mexico will take on Luis Luna (16-7) of Seminole, Texas.

A featured women’s flyweight (125 pounds) contest announced today will see Karen Cedillo (2-1) of Monterrey, N.L, Mexico face off with fellow upstart Felisha Magallan (1-0) of Fort Worth, Texas.

In preliminary bout action, Francisco Cavazos (0-0) of Odessa and Joel Guzman (0-0) of Fort Worth will make their respective professional debuts against one another at middleweight (185 pounds).

Jeremy Morin (1-1) of Lubbock, Texas will battle Jimmy Meza (0-0) of Odessa at bantamweight (135 pounds).

Tedrick Macklin (1-0) of Midland, Texas via Hidalgo, Texas will face off with Nathan Abril (0-0) of Plainview, Texas in a lightweight affair.

Nathan Torres (1-4) of Big Spring, Texas will meet Joe Saucedo (3-6) of Lubbock, Texas at bantamweight.

Daniel Cale Bryant (0-0) of Durant, Okla. Via Denison, Texas will make his professional debut against Isidro “Izzy” Portillo of Midland in a welterweight (170 pounds) scrap.

Additional bouts for the TS-1 Promotions event will be announced soon.
