There was a ton of combat sports going on throughout the world last night. GLORY had a kickboxing event in Paris, France. The UFC had show in South Carolina. The Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship did their thing in Florida. And last but not least, Bellator 223 went down in London, England.

The only thing really noteworthy about Bellater 222 was that middleweight king Gegard Mousasi got dethroned by jiu-jitsu stud Rafael Lovato Jr. If you can picture in your mind how a jiu-jitsu specialist would beat someone like Mousasi, well, that’s exactly how the fight went. Mousasi had one good round where he was able to fend off takedowns, but otherwise, it was all about the Brazilian suffocating him with constant wrestling- and grappling pressure. Boo.

Paul Daley had a battle with Erick Silva, but honestly, we squeezed all the thrills out of these guys ages ago. Now they’re officially “old dudes fighting”.

Oh, and a dude got kicked in the “gooch”. He literally got a toe thrust up his butt.
