Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon has received a serious push on WWE television lately, but it has not been to the liking of everyone. Fans have already expressed their dislike for “The Best In The World”, but it would seem that WWE wrestlers backstage are not that fond of the push either.

Wrestlers Infuriated With Shane McMahon’s Push

According to the sourceĀ Fightful Select, the wrestlers who are not getting screen time backstage are infuriated with all the attention Shane has been receiving lately. When you look at some of the major talent that has been left backstage, including Buddy Murphy and Mustafa Ali, it is no wonder talent is seriously disappointed with the current situation.

Of course, fans are far from happy with the situation too. As I reporter earlier, there is a rumor that Shane could be taken Kofi Kingston’s title very soon. If this is proven accurate, it could send fans into an outright revolt, not to mention what it could do for the already poor moral backstage.

Some part of me still wants to believe there could be an intricate plan in place, but then I look at the WWE’s history in recent years, and I have been disappointed before. Some part of me hopes that CM Punk could return and take his title back from “The Best In The World”, a moniker always used by CM Punk. Still, wishful thinking probably?

I Like Shane McMahon… But

Shane McMahon

I honestly do not have a problem with Shane McMahon being pushed. I think he is a hard-working guy and has proved himself in the past, so he has nothing to prove in this instance. However, the anger should not be directed at Shane. It should be direct at the WWE for not using the people they should be using. You can still push Shane and have a good storyline with the likes of Buddy Murphy, Aleister Black, and other WWE superstars. At the moment, the attention is solely on Shane. Surely, there is a better way to handle all this?

While there used to be a possibility for new superstars to be made into superstars, it seems that time is over. Unless you are an A.J. Styles who went to the indies and became a massive phenomenon before coming to the WWE, you have little chance of becoming a phenomenon on the current roster. It does make me worry for the likes of Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole, especially when you look at what happened to Aleister Black and Ricochet…
