– Undisputed Era have been dominant in NXT, minus a few bumps in the road, but they have now been hit with the injury bug. First, Kyle O’Reilly was pulled from the Download Festival due to continued issues with his back. Now, we can Bobby Fish to that list.
Fish was going to going to work the next two EVOLVE shows before being pulled. F4W Online reports that Fish suffered any injury at the recent TV tapings during a tag team match. The Velveteen Dream delivered a knee to Fish’s face, which appeared to land on the nose. Fish’s eye quickly started to swell shut and upon further evaluation, it seems the move actually connected with the jaw.
With O’Reilly and Fish both currently not working inside the ring, that could play a major factor for NXT Takeover: Toronto. While not confirmed, they were to be heavily featured in one of the bouts. The show is not until August 10, so there is still over six weeks to go. Hopefully both will be ready to go before their Takeover match was supposed to be confirmed on TV. Otherwise, WWE will need to find a way to adjust their plans as all the TV tapings until August are done.
– Earlier in the week, Drake Maverick got married in a ceremony where he also lost his 24/7 Championship seconds later. They were not the only WWE couple to get married.
Killian Dain and Nikki Cross tied the knot in Scotland after getting engaged last year. Cross currently works on RAW and is sort of working with Alexa Bliss. As for Dain, he was recently sent back to NXT when Sanity was separated.
