It hasn’t taken Donald Cerrone long to return to the top five of the UFC’s lightweight ranks, as “Cowboy” has jumped up the division’s hierarchy following UFC Ottawa.
Cerrone took on fellow contender Al Iaquinta this past weekend and outstruck the rugged vet for the unanimous decision win. The updated rankings for the promotion are up, and Cerrone has moved up four spots into the #4 position.
Iaquinta, meanwhile, slipped two rankings and is now #6.
“Cowboy” returned to the lightweight division this past January, after a run at welterweight, and stopped Alex Hernandez.
Another big mover was Macy Chiasson. The bantamweight stopped Sara Moras at UFC Ottawa, and has leaped four spots into the #10 position.
