RAW “Disorganized” Last Night

– More last-minute changes plagued RAW last night, thanks to Vince McMahon, reportedly causing some chaos backstage. As per a report via Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez relayed he had heard that RAW was a bit of a disaster behind the scenes during the May 20th edition of Monday Night RAW. Meltzer stated that while the backstage wasn’t a “disaster”, things were disorganized, and script was altered as the show was unravelling.

While the report doesn’t indicate exactly what was changed around, apparently the script was being re-worked during RAW’s broadcast.

– Could these “changes” have involved the new 24/7 championship, unveiled last night by WWE Hall of Famer and legend Mick Foley?

Regardless, the new title does seem like an interesting new creative concept to add to storylines, despite the fact that it has gotten mix reviews by the WWE Universe on social media, and the championship itself isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing to look at. Some of the backlash around the new championship could be the fact that many viewers still seem uncertain around the rules regarding the title, and who is eligible for it. As such, the WWE has placed an article outlining rules for the 24/7 Championship on WWE.com. To check it out, click here.

The article states that WWE talent from any brand are contenders for the championship, including Monday Night RAW, SmackDown LIVE, 205 LIVE, NXT, NXT UK, as well as WWE legends and Hall of Famers.

The article also dove into the terms of “where” the championship can change hands, which is simply “anywhere at anytime” (i.e. RAW or SD LIVE, WWE Network events, house shows, and even social media).

The title debuted last night, and already has seen it change hands between three competitors, with Titus O’Neil being the 24/7 inaugural champion; Robert Roode the second title holder; and R-Truth driving away from RAW as the current 24/7 champ after pinning Roode in the backstage area and high-tailing out of the arena right after the fact.
