Following their pivotal wins at UFC Fort Lauderdale last weekend, both Jack Hermansson and Cory Sandhagen have taken big leaps in the UFC rankings.
Hermansson took on longtime middleweight contender “Jacare” Souza at the event, and outscored the star for the UD win. Well, as a result of the victory, “The Joker” has climbed from #10 to #5 in the 185 rankings, while Souza has slipped to #6.
Sandhagen, meanwhile, faced bantamweight contender John Lineker and emerged from the card with a split decision victory. The rising fighter has jumped all the way up into #8 spot. Prior to Saturday’s event, Sandhagen wasn’t even ranked in the top 15. The hard-hitting Lineker, meanwhile, fell to #10.
Glover Teixeira has returned to the top 10 at 205, thanks to his submission win over Ion Cutelabda. Teixeira moved up one position into #10.
