If you’ve had a busy weekend and didn’t tune into UFC Ottawa last night, you may have missed the news Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic are officially signed to fight again.

The promotion has confirmed that the heavyweights will throw down again at UFC 241, August 17th in Anaheim. The news comes not long after Dana White reported that Brock Lesnar is done fighting. Lesnar had been expected to challenge Cormier for the heavyweight title in his Octagon return.

Cormier ended Miocic’s reign as champion last July, by knocking him out in the first round at UFC 226. Miocic never gave up calling for a rematch with “DC”, and now he’s got his wish. The former champ defended the heavyweight title a record three times before facing Cormier.

Miocic (18-3) hasn’t fought since the loss, but Cormier (22-1) competed in November and submitted Derrick Lewis.

This is another big fight that’s been added to the summer schedule, and it will follow Jon Jones vs. Thiago Santos and Amanda Nunes vs. Holly Holm one month earlier at UFC 239.
