Yesterday, we reported that legendary comedian Tim Conway had tragically passed away at the age of 85. Now, his former costar Carol Burnett has broken her silence to pay tribute to the beloved comedic actor.

Fox News reported that Burnett and Conway spent years together starring on “The Carol Burnett Show,” and they became good friends in the process. After learning of Conway’s death on Tuesday, Burnett released a touching statement paying tribute to him.

“I’m heartbroken,” said Burnett, 86. “He was one in a million, not only as a brilliant comedian but as a loving human being. I cherish the times we had together both on the screen and off. He’ll be in my heart forever.”

Conway was nominated for four Emmy’s for his work on “The Carol Burnett Show,” which ran from 1967-1978. Though the show has been off the air for over forty years, it continues to make people laugh to this day, with Conway still being hailed as one of the most hilarious members of the cast.

This comes after Conway’s death was confirmed by his daughter Kelly, who had said that her dad had been ill for quite some time.

“It is with the greatest sorrow that my brothers Tim, Patrick, Jamie, Corey, Seann, and I announce that our dad, Tim Conway, has passed away,” Kelly said. “The love he gave us, and the laughter he gave the world will never be replaced, but will be remembered forever. He is at peace now but I will miss him every second of every day until we meet again in heaven. We knew he would have to leave us someday, but that day came too soon. I want to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support over the past year or so.”

Conway may no longer be with us on Earth, but he will always live on in the hearts of his fans in the form of the many hilarious comedy sketches he left behind. Thanks for the laughs, Tim, and may you rest in peace.
