Patricio “Pitbull” Freire walked out of Bellator 221 Saturday night a dual-champion after knocking out Michael Chandler.
Freire, the reigning featherweight champion, added the lightweight title to his resume with a first round finish in just over a minute. The card streamed live on DAZN.
Also, Michael Page was demolished by Douglas Lima in the welterweight grand prix, while A.J. McKee remained unbeaten with a decision win over former champion Pat Curran.
