WWE WrestleMania 35 (4/7/2019) Play By Play Coverage

Our host Alexa Bliss is out and she promises to make WrestleMania moments. She snaps her fingers and Hulk Hogan comes out. He cuts a quick promo and the start posing.


With Hogan’s music still playing, Paul Heyman storms to the ring. He says if Brock Lesnar doesn’t close the show, he fights now and then they’re going to Las Vegas (home of the UFC).

Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins

Before the bell. Lesnar goes right after Rollins and hits the F5 on the outside. The bell eventually sounds and Lesnar starts hitting German suplexes. Rollins sneaks in a low blow and three stomps to win the title.

Winner: Seth Rollins to become the new Universal Champion

AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton

On paper, this looks like a dream match. They hit their typical spots, but the crowd still seems stunned by the opening moments of the main card show. RKO out of nowhere, but it only gets a 2. Orton tries for an RKO on the to rope, but Styles slips out. On the outside and Styles connects with a phenomenal forearm. He gets a second inside the ring for the win.

Winner: AJ Styles

SmackDown Tag Team Championship: The Usos vs. Ricochet & Aleister Black vs. The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) vs. Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura

Lots of blind tags from everyone. Cesaro does the swing while Sheamus hits clubs across the chest on the apron. Cesaro swings Ricochet for over 30 seconds. Huge tower of doom spot with everyone. Ricochet should have taken the worst bump, but he rolls through the spot. Ricochet has the match won with a 630, but everyone breaks up the pin. Lots of finishers hit. The Usos hit a double splash on Sheamus to retain.

Winner: The Usos to remain SmackDown Tag Team Champions


They introduce the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame class. DX is running around and tossing glow sticks.

Falls Count Anywhere: The Miz vs. Shane McMahon

Shane uses The Miz’s father (George), who is ringside, as a ploy to get advantage. The Miz is across the announce table and George stands in-front of his son, preventing Shane from coming off the top rope. George gets in the ring and Shane with some strikes before The Miz gets back in. The Miz snaps and goes after Shane in the crowd. The Miz destroys Shane through the international announce teams sections and Shane takes a nasty fall off a golf cart. Skull crushing finale for a two count. They climb a scaffold and Miz with suplex as they fall about 15 feet. Shane landed on-top of The Miz to win.

Winner: Shane McMahon
