Undertaker Thought He Was Retired

– Apparently one of the reasons Undertaker starting accepting bookings outside of WWE was because he thought his in-ring career was over. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that Undertaker was under the impression Last year’s controversial Crown Jewel event was the end of the road. At the show, Undertaker & Kane lost to a returning Shawn Michaels & Triple H.

All that changed when Undertaker signed a new WWE deal. This has caused Undertaker to pull out some upcoming events, especially ones that involved a Q&A. He is still scheduled for some autograph signings. Vince McMahon was upset over everything, but that seems to have passed after the two sides spoke.

2018 saw Undertaker only work a few matches as he wanted a smarter and lighter schedule. The most notable ones were a Casket Match win over Rusev at the Greatest Royal Rumble, losing to Triple H at Super Show-Down and then the Crown Jewel tag match.

While not confirmed, many believe Undertaker will work the next Saudi Saudi Arabia show against Elias on June 7. The seeds for that feud were started the night after WrestleMania 35.

– It seems like Sam Roberts might be playing the role of heel in WWE. Roberts, who works the pre-show panel for major events and now Main Event, had some negative comments about Bianca Belair months ago and now he went after Dana Brooke.

During this week’s Main Event, Brooke defeated Tamina Snuka but Roberts kept criticizing her performance at WrestleMania 35; stating she always fails when given a chance. Brooke heard the comments and was not afraid to voice her opinion towards Roberts.

There is no word if Roberts was told to portray a heel on TV or if he is just giving his honest opinion. No matter what, the remarks have rubbed some the wrong way.
