The passage of time wears on all men, and Brazilian Glover Teixeira is no exception. Since his Octagon debut at UFC 146, he’s beaten a lot of badasses, lost to a few badasses, fought Jon Jones for the belt once, and is chugging along like a train en route to the final station.

Moldavian Ion Cutelaba is a pretty tough dude. He’s adapt at submissions, but his bread and butter is battering dudes – and that’s what he did to old man Teixeira in the first, dropping him, rocking him with a spinning backfist, and otherwise roughing him up. But Cutelaba is also a little fuzzy on the rules, because more than once he nearly knee’d or kicked Teixeira when the Brazilian was down.

Still, Teixeira was beating up dudes when Cutelaba was still in high school (or whatever the secondary school equivalent is in Moldavia). So after weathering the storm, Teixeira got Cutelaba down, jiu-jitsu’d the hell out of him, and eventually tapped him out.

So like Jim Miller, and everyone else on the roster not quite ready to set sail for the Bellator retirement plan, we’ve got more Teixeira in store.

Hooray, I guess.
