Samoa Joe Illness Update

– According to Ringside News, there are some interesting off-air notes from last night’s RAW Superstar Shake Up show that took place at The Bell Center in Montreal, Canada. They are below:

  • An XFL commercial aired, where the crowd booed segment
  • A chant of “war” could be heard when the Viking Experience came out; after all, they were known as the War Raiders in NXT
  • Elias could barely be heard during his segment, thanks to the heat he got for the crowd, for mocking their hockey team
  • Once heel Sami bubbled up during a Moment of Bliss, those in attendance started a “Hostie Calice” chant, where the crowd was basically telling Zayn to “F” off.
  • Hopefully, EC3 was just selling Braun Strowman’s attack, as he was helped back stage once “The Man” Becky Lynch came out for her promo
  • Some fans booed Roman Reigns last night; however, it is being said that most of the crowd was in fact “behind” and supporting The Big Dog

Montreal always offers a rowdy crowd come Monday Night RAW, so it’s interesting to read these off-air tidbits around reactions and such when it comes to the live broadcast in this city.

The Superstar Shake-Up provided some interesting highlights last night, and while Samoa Joe was slated for a segment with Braun Strowman, it was axed due to the fact that was not feeling well. Instead, the Monster Among Men got those hands on EC3 in a squash segment where everyone is hoping that the superstar is alright (see above).

As per Fightful Select, Joe reportedly did show up for work last night, but could “barely” function before the show started, due to the fact that he had the flu, which explains the switch up.

Here’s hoping that Joe will feel better in no time, and his storyline involving Braun Strowman can resume in the coming weeks.
