Lori Loughlin’s Daughter Now Officially Being Investigated By Feds

Multiple sources are saying that one of the daughters of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli is now officially being investigated by the Department of Justice over her role in the college bribery scandal.

Daily Mail reported that one of the couple’s two daughters received a letter from federal prosecutors in Massachusetts earlier this month saying that she is the subject of an investigation that could result in her being hit with criminal charges.

“It is a not-so-veiled threat,” said an insider who saw the letter. “[The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts] is making it pretty clear that they have evidence that very strongly suggests she knew of the illegal plot.”

Another source went on to say that the tone of the letter was “ominous.”

It is not known whether the letter was sent to the couple’s actress daughter Isabella Rose, 20, or her YouTube star younger sister Olivia Jade, 20, who has over two million followers. Loughlin and Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 to have each of the girls be admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither had ever rowed before. Isabella and Olivia both posed for photos on ergometers to make it look like they were rowers, which indicates that they might have known at least a portion of the illicit activity that was going on.

It’s been speculated that Olivia is the sister who received the letter because she knowingly sent the team of Rick Singer, the man behind the admissions scheme, her college applications so that they could fill them out for her.

“On or about December 12, 2017, Loughlin e-mailed [Singer], copying Giannulli and their younger daughter [Olivia], to request guidance on how to complete the formal USC application, in the wake of her daughter’s provisional acceptance as a recruited athlete,” the official complaint stated. “Loughlin wrote: ‘[Our younger daughter] has not submitted all her colleges [sic] apps and is confused on how to do so. I want to make sure she gets those in as I don’t want to call any attention to [her] with our little friend at [her high school]. Can you tell us how to proceed?”

Singer replied by saying that he was “directing an employee to submit the applications on behalf of the Giannullis’ younger daughter [Olivia].” After receiving this text, Loughlin and Giannulli allegedly paid Singer the $500,000, and Olivia’s college applications were filled out by members of his team.

As of this writing, none of the students in the college admissions scandal have been charged, with only their parents facing criminal consequences. While some have said that students like Isabella and Olivia deserve to be charged because they must have known what was happening, others have pointed out that they were just teenagers being influenced by their parents and do not deserve to go to jail.

With one of their daughters now in danger of facing criminal charges, Loughlin and Giannulli have got to be regretting not taking the plea deal that prosecutors offered them which would have given them just a few months of prison time. Had they played ball with the feds, investigators may not have felt the need to go after their daughters. In the end, this family has made their beds, and they may all have to lie in them in prison.
