UFC on ESPN+8 Results: Cory Sandhagen Gets Past John Lineker Without Dying
I once saw John Lineker punch a man so hard that the man's dog, sitting on the porch at home 8,000 miles away, fell down and died.
I’m sure John Lineker has a whole range of fighting skills that he can call upon, but once the cage door shuts, he really only does one thing: punch people to death. But honestly, that’s why we love him, right?
With three UFC fights prior to last night’s UFC on ESPN+8 scrap, Cory Sandhagen is comparatively a young buck. Skilled? Yes, but untested against someone capable of using fists to steal souls.
After three rounds of Lineker swinging for the fences on pretty much everything he threw, and Sandhagen controlling range with straight kicks and jabs while staying in constant motion, I guess we got our answer about Sandhagen’s ability.

When time ran out, Sandhagen took the split decision, and you know what? He’d earned it. So now, with the division in upheaval because champ TJ Dillashaw got caught doing all the steroids, we have another player on the field to think about.
