Conor McGregor

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor also took in UFC 236 – at least whoever runs his Twitter account did.

McGregor posted shortly after Dustin Poirier bested Max Holloway to become the interim UFC lightweight champion from Atlanta.

“Amazing main event fights. How fighting should be! Max you are insanely tough! Please rest up now young Uce, you are a warrior head to toe! A champion FOREVER,” he wrote. “Congratulations Dustin on a much deserved UFC title to your career. It is Nate next for you like previously scheduled.”

The last part of the message includes Nate Diaz, who was once scheduled to face Poirier before the bout fell apart.

McGregor’s rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov, also remarked on the fight, saying he would be free to meet Poirier in September.
