On Saturday evening, a group of protesters took to the ice at a Cincinnati Cyclones hockey game to protest against the restaurant brand Chick-fil-A, which they believe has anti-gay views.

Fox News reported that the Cyclones were taking on the Kalamazoo Wings when the protesters took the ice riding a Chick-fil-A-sponsored Zamboni as they held signs that read “Chick-fil-A is anti-gay.”

A spokesperson for the Cyclones later released a statement explaining that the protesters had boarded the “Fan Zam” Zamboni with their signs hidden beneath a decoy birthday sign. The seven protesters were then banned from attending any Cyclones games at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati in the future. In addition, the team will no longer be allowing people to bring signs on the Zamboni.

Astonishingly, the Cyclones have been receiving backlash for taking action against the protesters from liberals who think that Chick-fil-A is indeed anti-gay. Cincinnati City Councilman Chris Seelbach took to social media to criticize the team for banning the protesters.

“Can’t have it both ways Cincinnati Cyclones,” Seelbach wrote. “You can’t pretend to be LGBT friendly by hosting a pride night, but also have anti-gay Chick-fil-A as a sponsor.”

Chick-fil-A has long denied that it is anti-gay and has refused to back down from their proud Christian views.

“We have a fundamental code of conduct at Chick-fil-A: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” Chick-fil-A recently said in a statement. “The 140,000 people who serve customers in our restaurants on a daily basis represent and embrace all people, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity. Our intent is to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.”

The flack that Chick-fil-A has been getting from liberals as of late is nothing short of absurd, and it serves as a reminder of how anti-Christian the left has become. We can only hope that Chick-fil-A continues to stay strong and stand by the Christian views that millions of us love them for. God bless you, Chick-fil-A!
