A former interim titleholder, Covington showed up in Las Vegas this week and chased down UFC president Dana White. He also hijacked Usman’s open workout and nearly came to blows with the champion after his fight with Woodley.
Covington won the interim belt with a victory vs. Rafael dos Anjos, but injuries kept him from facing Woodley to unify the titles. He was later stripped of the belt by the UFC.
