Did Strowman Kill His Push? + News On XFL TV Deals

It is almost time for Wrestlemania, yet some big WWE superstars do not have their match lined up yet. While there is certainly enough time for them, it seems like we may have some lacklustre rivalries. And even some of the big stars missing may be this year. Here are some of the wrestlers we are particularly worried about.

WWE Shows No Interest in Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura and his status within the WWE is worrying to say the least. The company has shown little interest in Nakamura since he came up from NXT. I find that shocking considering he was one of the brand’s main attractions. Call it poor booking, but Nakamura went from an A-list star to the back of the line.

There are also some persistent rumors that Shinsuke Nakamura may not renew his contract with the WWE. It is said New Japan is interested in obtaining the star. It seems that this rumor may prove true when you consider how poorly Nakamura has been treated recently.

WWE Does Not Know What to Do With Lashley

Bobby Lashley

Despite being a major talent and the fact that they could book him right in a million different ways, Bobby Lashley’s recent run in the WWE has been very much up and down.

At the time of this article, Lashley does not have a major match at WrestleMania 35. This is a big mistake, because Lashley could be one of the biggest draws for the WWE if he was handled right. While there was some interest in the rivalry between Finn Balor and Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship, booking agents backstage will have to come up with a big start match for Lashley to pique people’s interest again. If anything, they could book him with Cena, Reigns, or another major star that puts him in a prime position.

Forgotten Champion

Asuka

One of the biggest stars being mismanaged in the company at the moment is Asuka. Despite breaking Goldberg’s undefeated streak and currently holding the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship, there still is not any interesting rivalry for Asuka at WrestleMania. While there has been some talk about Lacey Evans facing the Empress of Tomorrow, it certainly would not be a booking that attracts a lot of people.

The biggest problem with Lacey Evans is that she is relatively unknown to the WWE Universe. All we have seen of her is a strut up and down the ramp. There’s little evidence she could be a serious opponent for Asuka.

Evans did have a stint on NXT for approximately one year. As you may expect, most superstars spend a lot more time on developmental before they come up. Therefore, the call-up was a big surprise to many. In fact, some media channels claim that Vince McMahon wants Lacey to replace Ronda Rousey. But is she ready?

More Problems With Superstars

There are more major superstars who have failed to acquire a “safe” spot on the WrestleMania card. Braun Strowman is undoubtedly one of the most surprising, quickly followed by Finn Balor. Time will tell if any of these stars will get an interesting match at Wrestlemania.
