Leon Edwards Tells Jorge Masvidal “I’ll See You Soon”

Leon Edwards was conducting a post-fight interview when he was interrupted by fellow UFC Fight Night 147 winner Jorge Masvidal.

Masvidal attempted to start a brawl, but security got between the two welterweight winners and broke them up.

Edwards, who scored his seventh consecutive victory with a split decision vs. Gunnar Nelson in the co-main event, released a statement on social media telling Masvidal “I’ll see you soon.”

“Very happy with my performance last night against a very high caliber opponent in Gunnar Nelson. Much respect to you Gunnar that was a great fight and look forward to seeing you bounce back.

“Birmingham stand up! As I said – that’s 7 in a row in the hardest division in the sport and I’m coming for everyone. World champ 2019 mark my words. If you’re not with me now, you will be.

“And Jorge, fair play sneaking your shots in when you could, but now you’re (expletive). If security wasn’t there you wouldn’t have made it back to the U.S., I’ll see you soon.”
