Recently Jose Aldo said Alexander Volkakovski was one of the opponents he told the UFC he’s interested in fighting, and now it’s being reported that bout’s booked.
Farah Hannoun recently reported the UFC was hoping to add Aldo – Volkanovski to the May 4th, UFC 237 card in Rio de Janeiro, and ESPN’s reporting the fight’s been signed for that date.
Aldo (28-4) is coming off stoppage wins over Jeremy Stephens and Renato “Moicano”, after incurring his second loss to current 145 king, Max Holloway, in December, 2017.
Volkanovki (19-1) has been on a roll since arriving in the UFC, as he’s gone 6-0 and is coming off a stoppage win over longtime contender, Chad Mendes.
So, this is a big addition to UFC 237. Can the featherweight legend knock off another rising star? Or, will Volkanovkis score a win and almost certainly, move into a title fight?
