BJ Penn’s career is not over yet, as it’s being reported that the legendary fighter is going to take on Clay Guida.

Following Penn’s quick, submission loss to Ryan Hall in December, there was extensive speculation as to whether that would be it for the 40-year-old star. Penn (16-13-2) hasn’t won a fight now since 2010.

But, MMA Fighting is reporting that multiple sources have informed the outlet that Penn will face the veteran lightweight Guida, at UFC 237, May 11th.

Guida (34-18), who is now 37, is coming off a submission loss to Charles Oliveira in June. Prior to that, the ridiculously tough fighter scored back-to-back wins over Joe Lauzon and Erik Koch.

So, thoughts on the match-up? Penn has historically had outstanding takedown defense, but, Guida has cardio for days and is as tough as they come.

UFC 237 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
