Paul Felder returned to the lightweight division tonight at UFC Phoenix, and he outscored lightweight contender James Vick.

Felder tried closing the distance on the massive and lengthy Vick early on, and the latter countered with jabs and the odd kick. Both men planted some sharp shots in the opening round, but as the opening frame neared its end, Felder stunned Vick with a spinning back fist.

Early on into round two, Vick clinched up and attempted to work along the fence, but Felder worked his way out. Felder continued to punish Vick’s lead calf with kicks and the latter started switching up his stance as a result.

Felder planted more kicks to Vick’s calf early into round three, and he also tagged the massive lightweight with a left. Vick switched his stance again, but mid-round, he took another kick to the calf that clearly hurt. Moments later, Vick cracked Felder with a hard, straight right, but not long after he was grazed by a spinning elbow.
