Demian Maia ended a three-fight losing streak tonight at UFC Fortaleza, and the longtime welterweight contender did so in classic, Maia fashion.

Maia shot in early, as per usual, and managed to take opponent, Lyman Good down. As the latter scrambled back to his feet, Maia took his back and started hunting for a choke. Good managed to defend Maia’s attacks for a little while, but eventually, the former Bellator champ tapped out to a rear-naked-choke.

Maia was coming off consecutive losses to champ Tyron Woodley, Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman.
