Kelvin Gastelum has worked his way into a title fight with the UFC’s middleweight champ, Robert Whittaker, and the video below features one of the reasons why.

Since Gastelum returned to the 185 division, the heavy-handed fighter’s gone 4-1, with 1 no-contest. That run included Gastelum bombing out the legendary Michael Bisping in November, 2017, which you can watch below.

Leading up to the bout, there were concerns expressed about Bisping’s decision to take the fight, since he had been choked out by Georges St-Pierre just a couple of weeks prior.

Gastelum will challenge Whittaker in the main event of UFC 234, which is going down on February 9th in Melbourne, Australia.
