As the world waits to see what’s next for Tony Ferguson and Conor McGregor, the lightweight stars have had an exchange via social media. But, chances are it didn’t go down the way “El Cucuy” hoped….

Recently the UFC announced that Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier are going to fight for an interim lightweight title on April 13th. As a result, speculation as to what could be next for the former interim champ, Ferguson, has peaked.

Well, more recently, Ferguson sent the verbal jab below in McGregor’s direction. But, the “Notorious” one didn’t fire back in a way most people likely would have expected:

“No Sauce Mcnuggets” @TheNotoriousMMA Just A Replica Of A Former Self He Used To Be. I’ve Got A Solid Right Hand To Test That Chin Of His. How Sweet It Is, -Tiramisu Tuesday

If we have the ability to go back, Tony. Then we have the ability to go forward again!
I wish you well and am praying for you as a fellow colleague.
Respect to my Paradigm familia.
Yours sincerely, Burger King.

Interesting response from McGregor no? Lately the consensus has been that McGregor will fight Donald Cerrone next, but nothing has been finalized. Could Ferguson end up throwing down with the former lightweight and featherweight champ?
