Robert Whittaker’s career has been put on hold after the reigning UFC middleweight champion was forced into emergency surgery for an abdominal hernia.
6 Degrees Management, Whittaker’s team, revealed that he underwent duel surgery for “a twisted and collapsed bowel in addition to an internal hernia of the intestine.”
Whittaker is expected to make a full recovery, but he will remain in the hospital for several days.
