Kevin Owens Provides Update on Return

Despite the “coming soon” vignettes on Raw, we still have not seen Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn. There was an expectation for the pair to return soon, but now, that return appears to be further off than expected.

Owens did not do much to help speculation this week, as he sent the WWE rumor mill into overdrive with one simple tweet.

In the Tweet, Owens stated he wrestled Adam Cole for the first time in four and a half years. Then stated there was one spectator giving the match 51.25 stars. Naturally, the Universe was excited about the prospect, believing there was some training going on at the WWE performance center. Unfortunately, this did not seem to be the case.

Rumors Shot Down

While the WWE Universe got excited, Owens was forced to shut down his return rumors shortly afterwards. In a Tweet, he mentioned he is not due back for a couple of months, much to the disappointment of many.

I’m still wondering what his initial tweet was about, and quite disappointed that he isn’t coming back anytime soon. Part of me hopes that Owens released the tweet to put us on the wrong track, meaning he would be due back any day now. Unfortunately, we might have to wait for him a little while longer.
