Huge WrestleMania 35 Match Possibly Scratched
When the WWE puts 100% faith in a superstar, dollar signs will follow. Cena is far from a technical wrestler or the best there ever was, but he knows his place.

At one point, NXT’s Lars Sullivan was set to receive a massive push on the main roster which would see him take on John Cena at WrestleMania 35. Sullivan was supposed to debut several weeks ago, but he never appeared and left TV early in what has been rumored to be a panic attack.

During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned how WWE wanted to have Sullivan appear at the Royal Rumble and then Monday’s RAW. Neither of those occurred and Sullivan remains the one NXT superstar who has not appeared on the main roster since several names were called up over the past 30 days.

“We will have to wait and see when WWE finally unleashes The Freak on the WWE roster,” said Meltzer. “It is a very interesting situation, but the company isn’t likely to release a guy with the kind of potential that ‘The Freak’ possesses. I don’t anticipate him not being with the company, but as each week goes by the idea of him wrestling John Cena gets slimmer and slimmer. It may be out the window by now.”

A representative for Sullivan stated a few weeks ago that Sullivan was fine and apologetic over the matter. That tweet was quickly deleted and there remains radio silence from Sullivan.

With John Cena currently away filming another movie, WWE could always put together a program within a few weeks. But, you cannot blame WWE at this point if they decide to go another direction with Cena and WrestleMania 35. WWE does not want to book Cena in a WrestleMania match and then have to pull the plug last minute due to problems on Sullivan’s end. Honestly, WWE might want to reconsider how they are going to book Sullivan if he is already struggling with such high levels of anxiety.
