Patricky “Pitbull” Freire bested Ryan Scope via split decision as Bellator kicked off its new European series this past weekend.
The event, Bellator: Newcastle took place from the Utilita Arena in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.
Freire earned two of the three scores by the judges, taking the main event.
Corey Browning submitted Aaron Chalmers in the co-main event with a third round heel hook. Chalmers was a star on the reality series Geordie Shore.
