All Elite Wrestling’s TV Deal, Dean Ambrose Vs. Nia Jax Advertised

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is shaping up to be an alternative to WWE and they continue to grab the attention of fans, despite yet producing a single show. One of the biggest steps the new promotion still needs to take care of is landing a TV deal.

There reportedly have been several networks interested in working with AEW and there has been lots of back and forth communication. During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer claimed that the choice has been narrowed down to two stations and the deal is something not seen since the days of WCW.

Several of AEW’s top performers and behind the scenes people were present at last weekend’s Super Bowl 53. There was some speculation that former WCW owner Ted Turner invited those individuals to the big game as they are working over a TV deal. That has not confirmed and should be taken as speculation.

WWE is quite the aware of the buzz surrounding AEW and are trying to get their wrestlers to sign longer deals with the promise of a better push. As for AEW, their first show Double or Nothing is March 25 from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Here’s the rumored card: Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho, PAC vs. “Hangman” Adam Page, Aja Kong vs. Yuka Sakazaki and Kylie Rae vs. Nyla Rose.

– We know Dean Ambrose has told WWE that he is leaving once his contract expires in April. The news came as a surprise, especially after WWE offered Ambrose a luctractive deal to stay.

Shortly before the news of Ambrose leaving was made public, he worked an angle two weeks ago on RAW. After losing to Seth Rollins, Ambrose was cutting a promo inside the ring before being interrupted by Nia Jax and Tamina. After a few words were traded, Nia sent Ambrose over the top rope and officials escorted him to the back.

The February 22 live even from Jonesboro, Arkansas is now advertising an intergender match with Ambrose vs. Nia. WWE has tried to distance themselves from intergender matches over the years and the outcome could be interesting. WWE could be upset with Ambrose and have the former WWE Champion lose to Nia as a form of punishment.
