Donald Cerrone demonstrated once again that he very much remains a force to be reckoned with, as the rugged vet took out rising lightweight Alex Hernandez at UFC Brooklyn.

Hernandez came out winging massive punches and he cracked Cerrone with a couple of big shots early on. “Cowboy” countered with a timely takedown attempt, and although Hernandez got back to his feet, Cerrone began to land strikes of his own. So much so, by the end of round one, Hernandez was bloodied up.

Hernandez came out aggressively again in round two, and both lightweights scored with strikes. Cerrone began punishing Hernandez with kicks to the body, but then he went high and sent the rising fighter to the deck. Cerrone landed several punches from above, and as Hernandez attempted to work his way out, the bout was stopped.
