Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is now scheduled to defend his belt against Kamaru Usman – not Colby Covington – at UFC 235.
According to a report by ESPN, Woodley and Usman will serve as the co-main event on March 2 from Las Vegas and the T-Mobile Arena. The card features Jon Jones defending his light heavyweight belt vs. Anthony Smith.
Woodley was expected to face Covington, the former interim champion who was stripped of that title last year, but instead, officials have given Usman the next shot at the belt.
The card will also feature former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt back in action, as he meets Pedro Munhoz.
