Conor McGregor

As history tells us, anything can happen in the crazy sport of mixed-martial-arts, but there’s a new indication that a Donald Cerrone – Conor McGregor bout could happen….

After Cerrone submitted Mike Perry late last year, he started campaigning for a bout with McGregor, but the latter didn’t responded. But, when Cerrone did the same, following his recent, impressive win over Alex Hernande, McGregor relayed he’s interested in fighting “Cowboy”.

Well, more recently, Cerrone shared out the comment below, and McGregor was quick to respond again:

Don’t worry @thenotoriousmma I’ll drink @properwhiskey at the Press Conference with ya!! Hell I’ll bring the @budweiser

Sounds like a party!

Now, yes, none of this means Cerrone – McGregor is going to happen. But, when you consider McGregor said he’s down to fight, and that here again, he hasn’t shot down the idea, don’t be surprised if this happens.

McGregor could very well have determined that an immediate rematch with Khabib Nurmagmedov is unlikely. So, a fight with Cerrone would unquestionably do big numbers, and it would provide the former champ an opportunity to get back on track. After all, if Conor were to drop back-to-back losses to Khabib it would be a pretty significant setback for the star.
