Not only has bantamweight prospect Petr Yan signed a new multi-fight deal with the UFC, it’s being reported he’s going to face established vet, John Dodson next.

The 25-year-old Russian fighter recently reported via Twitter that he’s inked a new, four-fight deal, and a bout agreement as well. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani is reporting that bout agreement is for a February 23rd fight with John Dodson, which will go down in Prague.

So, considering what Yan’s showcased in the Octagon thus far, it’s no surprise that the UFC wanted to keep him around. At UFC 232 last month, Yan stopped Douglas Silva de Andrade (corner stoppage) to move his record to 11-1.

Dodson (20-10) is coming off a decision loss to Jimmie Rivera in September.

That’s a very intriguing addition to UFC Prague and huge bout for both. Dodson needs a win to stay within reach of the title shot mix, while Yan could jump into the top 10 with a victory.
