As the MMA world continues to wait and see what the future holds for Conor McGregor, former foe Max Holloway has delivered a rather cleverly done, backhanded swipe at the star and his whiskey.

Holloway has been visiting McGregor’s home country of Ireland, and recently the UFC’s featherweight champ posted the comments and images below.

238 years of innovation, hard work, and unmatched quality. Not a watered down trend. A true pillar of Ireland, supporting the hard working families in Dublin for generations. Thank you @jamesonwhiskey for the hospitality. The number one Irish whiskey in the world #sinemetu

The “watered down trend” reference, is almost certainly a jab at McGregor’s recently released, Proper 12 Whiskey. Holloway also visited the massive Croke Park stadium in Dublin. So, don’t be surprised if all this prompts speculation as to whether Holloway or the UFC is looking at McGregor – Holloway 2. This could, however, all been spearheaded by Jameson Whiskey for all we know.

McGregor beat Holloway by decision back in 2013, which marks the last time the Hawaiian star was defeated.
