Conor McGregor retiring

Recently renowned coach Firas Zahabi outlined why he thinks Max Holloway would take a rematch with Conor McGregor, if the two ever fought again, and it looks like the latter didn’t care for his analysis…

During a recent Q&A with fans, Zahabi was asked to weigh-in on how he thinks a rematch between McGregor and Holloway would unfold. The Tristar coach argued that on account of Holloway’s cardio, offensive output and toughness, “Blessed” would likely “take it in the later rounds.”

Well since then, McGregor fired off these comments in Zahabi’s direction:

Hey firaz. Young man afraid to get in and fight, himself. Stop talking about me like you know me, you twerp.
You are what age? Why are not in there yourself? Are you not up to it?
You rent dorms and hit a clock for a living.
Shut your pie, kid.

There you have it. Now unless something else is going on behind the scenes here, it certainly seems like Zahabi’s comments about the rematch are what prompted this.

Holloway and McGregor fought back in 2014, and the latter took the bout by decision. It marks the last time the featherweight champ Holloway has been defeated.
